My weekdays are typically filled with photo sessions of preschool and daycare-aged children, but a few weeks ago, I got a change of pace when Victor said he needed some head shots. I drove out to Carlsbad, but arrived about 30 minutes early. To kill time, I walked around the cul-du-sac and discovered a burned-out area that was affected by last summer’s fires in North San Diego County. It turns out, Victor was home when the wildfires were lapping at his backyard. Luckily, his house was spared, though he did lose some of his yard.
It was a pleasure meeting you Victor, and I can’t wait for you to schedule your family session!
I spent a beautiful January morning on the beach with Mohammad and Dalia, who was visiting the United States from Egypt for the first time with her family. Mohammad, who is also from Egypt, moved to San Diego about seven months ago for work, but will be making the day-long trip back to Egypt to marry Dalia.
I’m wishing you both lots of love and happiness as you prepare to spend your lives together!
I met Lorraine and Ryan and their 11-year-old dog two weeks ago for a maternity session near downtown San Diego. This beautiful couple is expecting their first child, a boy, this March. The pair met about six years ago when Lorraine moved into Ryan’s building and have been on adventures ever since.
Congratulations Lorraine and Ryan! I know you’ll have many more adventures once your little guy arrives!
On Saturday I had the opportunity to take portraits of Lorelei, a San Diego realty photographer, designer and realtor. When she contacted me to take her headshots, we learned that we have met previously during a photography Meetup. Just goes to show you that it really is a small world!
