One of my favorite types of portraits are headshots. I love the challenge of showing the personality and profession of the subject.
Earlier this month, I did a few headshots for a local commercial realtor named Carolina who brought along her friend Maria, a local designer. We meet early on a Saturday at Balboa Park where we had some gorgeous views of downtown San Diego.
I had so much fun on this job and know that I will be working with these two again!
My weekends are the prime time for portrait sessions, so it was a nice change of pace to be contacted be the Dettman family for a weekday beach session behind the Hotel del Coronado. While on spring break, the family of four enjoyed some of the sights and sounds of the city including the San Diego Zoo.
I hope you all had a great visit and a safe trip home!
In November, I got a call from Pallavi wanting to do portraits of her six-month-old son. A few months went by before we nailed down a time and date, and let me say, seeing this little man was worth the wait. The Bhatanager’s son was so laid-back. He smiled so easily — until I pointed the camera at him that is!
He wore a little vest and hat and had the longest eyelashes and cutest curls. I can’t wait to see this guy for his first birthday photos later this year!
Keeley contacted me last month looking to give her boyfriend Cody a gift card for Valentine’s Day. We got her all set, and a few weeks later scheduled Cody’s business headshot session. We meet on a gorgeous Saturday morning in La Mesa, and the pair came prepared with several shirt and tie combinations.
Despite never having done professional photos before, Cody was a natural in front of the camera. He gave off an air of professional confidence that showed easily in his portraits.
Thank you for contacting me Keeley, and I wish you and Cody all the best!
