July was a super busy month and not just in terms of work. My mother-in-law and father-in-law flew in from Texas to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday; my brother and his wife and their son flew in from Portland for a few days, and my parents were here from Georgia for another few days. There was some overlap in each of the visits, which was great because both sets of parents and my brother and sister-in-law were able to see one another. I was also able to get each of the groups out for some family portraits in the park.
Meet Kevin. We met for a headshot session at Balboa Park. The other half of Kevin’s team works out of New York.
Meet Camerynn. She loves art and will be going to college in San Fransisco in the Fall. We met at the San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park with Camerynn’s mom on Mother’s Day. This San Diego senior has such a sweet personality and I know she’ll do great next school year.
Meet Brianna, a college senior at Point Loma Nazarene. I met her and her mother (who drove down from Temecula that afternoon) in April for portraits to celebrate Brianna’s senior year. She took a break from studying for finals and we had some fun at Sunset Cliffs.
Best of luck Brianna as you prepare for your next steps in life!
This year, I have been blessed to be able to photograph several repeat clients. This means so much to me, not only because by booking a session with me again, they are saying they enjoyed their previous experience, but it also allows me a chance to catch up with them and see what’s new in their lives.
I met Ms. Rhonda last year while she was vacationing in La Jolla. We spent nearly three hours together exploring the Cove and some of downtown. She said she would be back this year, and I was thrilled when she let me know her dates. This year, we had rain and we kept pushing back our session. We finally decided to just do it, and Ms. Rhonda came and I both came armed with umbrellas to incorporate into the session.
I had so much fun, and can’t wait until your next yearly trip to San Diego!
If these faces look familiar, it may be because I photographed them a year ago at Balboa Park. We met this year at Mission Trails where I was about to witness just how much Brandon and Deagan had grown since our last session. I also go to see Shannon’s beautiful new hair color. It was such a pleasure working with the Houser family again, and I hope we can continue the tradition.
