Meet Jerusha, Chad and River. They are related to another set of Basingers that have made their way onto this blog on several occasions. We met on a beautiful January Saturday in Del Mar for a gender reveal. We discovered through a fun-filled balloon release, that the Basinger family will be welcoming a little girl. Congratulations Basingers on your growing family!
As 2017 ends, I want to take some time to say thank you to all the families and individuals who have allowed me to take part in their lives. I know that it takes trust to invite someone into your world and express yourself on camera, and for that privilege, I am truly honored.
This year has been quite busy as I’ve worked a full-time job with an editing company for professional wedding photographers, gotten involved with a new church and picked up some freelance photography jobs alongside my work with Ese Esan Photography. Because of this, and the need to spend quality time with my husband and son, my blogging has been a bit neglected this year.
I didn’t want to end the year without showcasing some of the incredible families I’ve had the honor of photographing year after year. Please know that you are all appreciated! And for all my first-time clients, I can’t wait to see you in 2018!

Meet the Grayots. If you notice a similarity to another family featured recently on the blog, it’s because Azure is Seneca‘s sister! I met this sweet lady on a December Monday along with her husband, Delon, and their 5-month-old puppy Chanel. We roamed the park in La Jolla before heading down to the beach to watch Chanel experience her first time on sand.
This year, I have been blessed to be able to photograph several repeat clients. This means so much to me, not only because by booking a session with me again, they are saying they enjoyed their previous experience, but it also allows me a chance to catch up with them and see what’s new in their lives.
I met Ms. Rhonda last year while she was vacationing in La Jolla. We spent nearly three hours together exploring the Cove and some of downtown. She said she would be back this year, and I was thrilled when she let me know her dates. This year, we had rain and we kept pushing back our session. We finally decided to just do it, and Ms. Rhonda came and I both came armed with umbrellas to incorporate into the session.
I had so much fun, and can’t wait until your next yearly trip to San Diego!
Meet the George family. I met Alex and Shannon early on a Saturday morning in April at La Jolla Cove where we explored different areas of the park. Mom and dad were celebrating daughter, Harper’s first birthday with a portrait session.
Happy birthday, Harper, and here’s to a wonderful year!
I had the pleasure of photographing the Baillie family last November and was thrilled when Jen asked me to photograph her and her daughter again this year in La Jolla.
Meet Nigel. A senior at Mission Bay High School who plays football, basketball and runs track. We meet at the school for a few portraits before heading to Crystal Pier to finish the session at sunset.
All the best to you Nigel as you finish your last year of high school!
Gus and Inna made the trip from Denver, Colorado to San Diego to spend a few days together celebrating their love. The pair, who met online, will be getting married overseas in the fall, but couldn’t resist the opportunity to get away for a preview wedding session. Their love for each other showed with every look, touch and word that flowed from their mouths and I am so honored that I was asked to document their special moments.
Here’s to you Gus and Inna as you prepare to spend the rest of your lives together!
