Newborn portraits in Chula Vista: The Johnsons

You’ve met Declan a few times over the last year or so. The first time was during a family session in 2015. This year, Declan’s little sister Ella joined the family! I met this sweet girl the week she was born and both she and her big brother did a great job during the session!

La Jolla Portraits: Nichols Family

Meet the Nichols family. I first met this beautiful group in November during the midst of a busy holiday season. We got together on a Saturday morning in Del Sur for a mix of holiday and family photos, and I was thrilled when Chris called wanting some updated family portraits and a few senior photos for her son, Preston. We held the session in La Jolla, and enjoyed the changing light as the sun slowly set.

San Diego Portraits: My family

July was a super busy month and not just in terms of work. My mother-in-law and father-in-law flew in from Texas to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday; my brother and his wife and their son flew in from Portland for a few days, and my parents were here from Georgia for another few days. There was some overlap in each of the visits, which was great because both sets of parents and my brother and sister-in-law were able to see one another. I was also able to get each of the groups out for some family portraits in the park. familyIsiorhos Esan

Colt turns 1!

I can’t believe it’s already been a year! If you’ve been following along on my adventures for the last year or so, you may remember meeting Colt’s mom and dad during their maternity session. A few months later, we met Colt during a family session. The Esgate family celebrated his first birthday with a “Where the Wild Things Are” -themed birthday party including a personal cake for the birthday boy and a pinata for all the kids.

I know this year will bring this lovely family many more memories, smiles and tons of love.

San Diego Portraits: Houser Family at Mission Trails

If these faces look familiar, it may be because I photographed them a year ago at Balboa Park. We met this year at Mission Trails where I was about to witness just how much Brandon and Deagan had grown since our last session. I also go to see Shannon’s beautiful new hair color. It was such a pleasure working with the Houser family again, and I hope we can continue the tradition.

La Jolla Mini Session with the Peterson Family

Meet the Peterson family. If the name sounds familiar it’s because you’ve already met a few members of the family already. I met Seneca’s sister while they were in town from Utah for the holidays. They wanted a beach session, so we met at Scripps Pier for a mini holiday shoot.

San Diego Family Portraits | Lee Family

Meet the Lee Family. They were vacationing in San Diego from Chapel Hill, North Carolina  and decided that some family portraits were in order. We met at Balboa Park about an hour before sunset and worked our way around the rose garden, Bea Fountain and the butterfly garden before ending the session with the setting sun.

San Diego Family Portraits with the Esgates

I had the pleasure of meeting the Esgates in January when Lorraine was 8-months pregnant with their first child. In September, I met their 6-month-old son during family portraits at a San Diego harbor before taking the session to their home and baby C’s beautiful nursery. The love this family has for their new little man is evidenced in the looks and smiles he often receives from mom and dad.

Congratulations Esgate family! I look forward to working with you as baby C reaches new milestones.
