San Diego Child Portraits with Avari

Meet Avari. She is a lively 7-year-old with seemingly unlimited energy and an ability to make everyone around her smile. I met Avari and her mom, Aimee, at Balboa Park to take some updated portraits of Avari, who has done pageants and is trying to get into modeling.

I know you will be great at whatever you put your mind to, and can’t wait until we have the opportunity to work together again!

Balboa Park Bar Mitzvah Portraits

I met this upbeat young man on a weekday afternoon at Balboa Park. An infectious grin was plastered on his face and the park was the perfect place to showcase his energetic personality.

Thank you for allowing me to share in this special moment in your life, and I wish you all the best as you prepare for your Bar Mitzvah.

La Jolla Headshots with Kyle G.

Kyle and I met for a headshot session at La Jolla Cove one a weekday in May. I was excited to learn that Kyle, a San Diego investment specialist, is also from Michigan.

We made the most of our session by switching backgrounds with each outfit change and I think we got a great collection of both professional and personal images.

San Diego Headshots with Daril

Meet Daril Bonner, Editor in Chief of the Bonner Post and Chief Executive Officer of Bonner PR. I had the pleasure of meeting this San Diego business man in May at Balboa Park for a headshot session. My sessions are typically filled with tons of smiles and even some laughter, but on this particular day, there was also a few yelps as we were chased by a relentless bumblebee in the butterfly garden.

Try as we might, we just couldn’t shake the flying critter. It took both Daril and I getting stung before we gave up our garden location and moved to a bee-free spot.

Daril looked amazing in his suit, and we got some great portraits. I wish him all the best in his many ventures and know that our paths will cross again.

San Diego Realtor headshots with Carolina

One of my favorite types of portraits are headshots. I love the challenge of showing the personality and profession of the subject.

Earlier this month, I did a few headshots for a local commercial realtor named Carolina who brought along her friend Maria, a local designer. We meet early on a Saturday at Balboa Park where we had some gorgeous views of downtown San Diego.

I had so much fun on this job and know that I will be working with these two again!

San Diego Headshots with Cody

Keeley contacted me last month looking to give her boyfriend Cody a gift card for Valentine’s Day. We got her all set, and a few weeks later scheduled Cody’s business headshot session. We meet on a gorgeous Saturday morning in La Mesa, and the pair came prepared with several shirt and tie combinations.

Despite never having done professional photos before, Cody was a natural in front of the camera. He gave off an air of professional confidence that showed easily in his portraits.

Thank you for contacting me Keeley, and I wish you and Cody all the best!

Head shot portraits in Carlsbad with Victor

My weekdays are typically filled with photo sessions of preschool and daycare-aged children, but a few weeks ago, I got a change of pace when Victor said he needed some head shots. I drove out to Carlsbad, but arrived about 30 minutes early. To kill time, I walked around the cul-du-sac and discovered a burned-out area that was affected by last summer’s fires in North San Diego County. It turns out, Victor was home when the wildfires were lapping at his backyard. Luckily, his house was spared, though he did lose some of his yard.

It was a pleasure meeting you Victor, and I can’t wait for you to schedule your family session!
