This was a fun Monday afternoon maternity session during the week of 4th of July. Linda and her 3-year-old son were visiting from the east coast and were spending the week with a friend. Linda, who is due with her second son towards the end of summer, said she never did maternity photos with her first and wanted to make sure she captured this moment with her second.
I hope you both enjoyed your visit and all the best as you prepare for the newest member of your family!
I love simplicity and when Daniela and Erick said they wanted a simple elopement session at Del Mar Beach with their Great Dane, Magnus, I knew it would be beautiful. Daniela wore a white lace dress and Erick was casual in slacks and a sports coat. After a short ceremony, we made our way down to the beach as the sun started to set.
Thank you both for allowing me to capture this special moment in your lives, and here’s to a long life together filled with joy!
Gus and Inna made the trip from Denver, Colorado to San Diego to spend a few days together celebrating their love. The pair, who met online, will be getting married overseas in the fall, but couldn’t resist the opportunity to get away for a preview wedding session. Their love for each other showed with every look, touch and word that flowed from their mouths and I am so honored that I was asked to document their special moments.
Here’s to you Gus and Inna as you prepare to spend the rest of your lives together!
I met Alexia while she was working as the director of a preschool where I shot portraits. This was a two-day shoot followed by a two-day portrait selection day. Alexia and her staff were so great in helping with the parents that I wanted to do something to show my gratitude. Alexia said she hasn’t had an professional portraits of her family since her daughter was born and she and her family were preparing to move from Imperial Beach to Fort Wayne, Indiana.
We mused at the irony that I grew up in Fort Wayne when we met for a mini session on a gray Saturday morning. Martin family, I hope you had a wonderful cross country trip and have settled into your new home!
Kyle and I met for a headshot session at La Jolla Cove one a weekday in May. I was excited to learn that Kyle, a San Diego investment specialist, is also from Michigan.
We made the most of our session by switching backgrounds with each outfit change and I think we got a great collection of both professional and personal images.
It’s always a pleasure when you have repeat clients and even more so when they are celebrating a milestone life moment. I had the opportunity to photograph Jacque and Norman a few months after shooting their group family photo at a church. We walked along the cove before ending the session with the seals at sunset.
I wish you both the best as you begin this new chapter in life and hope that your little one brings you all the joy you deserve!
I met the Zhang Family on a Friday afternoon in April. Ivy was just two weeks away from her scheduled due date, so we knew we had to get her session on the books as soon as possible. After discussing a few locations, we decided on La Jolla Shores. We took a few shots in Scripps Park, and then we headed down to the beach where Ivy’s husband and son Roy frolicked in the sand while we stole away for a few solo shots of Ivy.
Thank you Zhang Family for allowing me to be a part of this special moment, and I wish you all the best as you enter welcome your newest family member!
I met Rhonda while she was on vacation in La Jolla. We met at the La Jolla Inn and explored much of what the city had to offer including hiking trails, downtown, and, of course, the beach.
Doing this session made me feel like I was on vacation and I can’t wait to work with Rhonda and her family the next time they’re in San Diego!
