July was a super busy month and not just in terms of work. My mother-in-law and father-in-law flew in from Texas to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday; my brother and his wife and their son flew in from Portland for a few days, and my parents were here from Georgia for another few days. There was some overlap in each of the visits, which was great because both sets of parents and my brother and sister-in-law were able to see one another. I was also able to get each of the groups out for some family portraits in the park.
If these faces look familiar, it may be because I photographed them a year ago at Balboa Park. We met this year at Mission Trails where I was about to witness just how much Brandon and Deagan had grown since our last session. I also go to see Shannon’s beautiful new hair color. It was such a pleasure working with the Houser family again, and I hope we can continue the tradition.
Meet the Guss siblings, ages 5 and 7. We meet in their Carmel Valley backyard for a series of fun headshots.
Meet Salvador. He’s a San Diego actor.
Meet the Ranaldi Family. The are the owners of the San Diego Bargain Mama blog and a super fun family. We meet for a dual family and headshot session at Balboa Park on a Wednesday evening in August and spent most of the session in laughter.
Rabecca, owner of San Diego Bargain Mama
Meet Jennifer, creator of Kirbie’s Cravings, a San Diego food blog.
Meet Sid, a North Carolina native and US Navy man. We met on a Saturday morning at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront where I learned that once Sid leaves the military, he will be looking for work in the business community – hence the headshots.
I thank you for your service, Sid, and wish you nothing but the best as you begin life after the military.
Meet Amanda Jo, the owner of The Organic Bunny.
Meet Giovanni. He’s a writer.
